VERA FABRE (1912 - 2002)
Vera Fabre was a French Abstract artist. Fabre is the alias for French heiress and socialite, Jacqueline Couve De Murville, wife of former French Foreign Minister, and the final French Prime Minister under De Gaulle, Maurice Couve De Murville. Jacqueline was heiress to the Banque de l'Union Parisienne and Banque Mirabaud, but produced interesting abstract oils and prints under the name Fabre during the 1960s and 1970s, exhibiting several times in Paris. This interesting, large, rare oil painting is similar in style and technique to iconic American painter, Jackson Pollock,
