LESLIE HAROLD BEER (1882 - 1937)

Leslie Harold Beer was a respected Australian watercolourist & photographer. A member of the Art Society of NSW and Royal Art Society, he was also the editor of the Harrington Photographic Journal. He was best known for his scenic views of Sydney, in a style synonymous with the Julian Ashton School, in particular Sydney Long. This watercolour was exhibited at the fourth annual exhibition of the Sydney Sketch Club in May 1906, and was given special mention in The Daily Telegraph.
