A.J. BOWDEN (XX)
A.J. Bowden was an Australian artist. This work was completed in Southern France, in Arles, a town made famous by former resident, Vincent Van Gogh. This piece reminds me of pioneering 20th century Orphists, Sonia and Robert Delaunay. Orphism was a pure form of abstraction, using a combination of shapes and harmonious colours based of Fauvist colour theory.
