ROBERT A. McGARVEY (1870 - 1948)

Robert Alexander McGarvey was a self-taught Australian commerical artist and signwriter. Not much is known about his background, and this is the only known artwork by the artist, but it is a very competent piece in the tradition of Heidelberg School artists such as Tom Roberts, Frederick McCubbin and Hans Heysen.
