JUDITH COTTON (1941 - )

Judith Cotton is a Contemporary New York-based Australian artist. She has lived and worked in the USA since 1971, and made quite an impact in the New York contemporary art scene in the 1980s and 1990s, her work represented in MOMA NYC permanent collection, and the Phillips Gallery, whilst also exhibiting in the UK, Japan & China. Much like her famous ancestor, Australian modernist photographer, Olive Cotton, Judy has been inspired by our unique Australian flora throughout her career, and is known for her large works that are a mix of abstraction and realism.
