William Delafield Cook Snr. was a respected Australian painter of the Heidelberg School. He studied under John Ford Patterson and was a member of the Victorian Artists Society. His work is represented in the West Australian Art Gallery. His contemporaries were Tom Roberts, Arthur Streeton, & Sydney Long, among others.
