FRANCIS JOHN DUNHAM (1897 - 1986)

Francis John Dunham was a respected American artist. He studied at the California School of Fine Arts while a resident of San Francisco in the 1920s and 1930s.  During the late 1930s, for lack of work, he went to NYC where he was one of the stained glass artists for St John the Devine.  With the advent of WWII, he moved to Los Angeles where he was a tool designer in the aircraft industry.  He then designed stained glass for churches, restaurants, and other public buildings.  Multi-talented, his media included pen-and-ink, oil, acryllics, watercolor, crayon, and wood.
