CHRISTOPHER BOOCK (1947 - )

Christopher Boock was an Australian artist from North Queensland, who was known for his mystical and highly sexualised paintings in Bali, Indonesia, during the 1970s and 1980s. He studied painting in Sydney, Europe & South-East Asia before settling in Bali, where he apprenticed with fellow Australian artist, Donald Friend. One can see the influence of Friend's work on Boock's style. He exhibited several solo shows in Australia, including a few at Holdsworth Galleries.
