Sir ERIK LANGKER (1898 - 1982)
Sir Erik Langker was an influential Australian landscape painter, andleading arts administrator.Having studied under Julian Ashton and Dattilo Rubbo, he
began exhibiting with the Royal Art Society from the early 1920s. In 1941, he was appointed joint Vice-President of the RAS with Sydney Long. His works are represented in several important National Collections, particularly the Art Gallery Of NSW.
