OWEN SHAW (1935 - )

Owen Shaw is a well-respected Contemporary Australian sculptor. He trained from the age of fifteen by Australia's leading sculptor, Lyndon Dadswell, and from a young age was lauded by the likes of James Gleeson. Never comprising his studio-foundry he has concentrated on quality and excellence in pure fine creative sculpture gaining him unequalled respect from his peers. He has exhibited in several successful solo and group exhibitions throughout Australia, represented by Wentworth Galleries and at 83 he still works from his studio in Gulgong. This is a very rare abstract expressionist work of paper, perhaps a sketch for a sculpture he was working on.
