MIHAI ADAMIEU (1901 - 1984)

Mihai Adamiu was a celebrated Romanian Modernist, active in the early 20th century. There is a  stamp from the Muzeum Górnoslaskie in Bytom, Southern Poland. In 1939, the entire collection of the museum, which would have included this pastel, was confiscated, then destroyed or dispersed by the Nazis, possibly including this pastel.
