JOHN PETER BELL (1938 - )

John Peter Bell is an acclaimed Australian painter and model. He was based in Paddington, which was an important artist hub in the 1960s, known for it's nightlife and eccentric, creative inhabitants. Bell was a protege and muse of Donald Friend, and became the toast of the Sydney Art Scene in the early 1960s, and it is clear Donald Friend influenced his style greatly. He appeared alongside Friend in the British Pathe featurette in 1965.
